You're never done being a Sandwich Artist
We found these Juicy Marbles things in Waitrose a while back and they're our favourite meat alternative. Terrible name though.
Long time, no see
Between work, and the sun setting at 3pm, I haven't been super motivated to take a lot of pictures the last couple of weeks. And I certainly haven't been motivated to yell them into the void.
KGL (kids get lost)
Tabitha has been at PGL this week, so Charlotte and I went to Rye and Hastings for a few days.
The last few weeks
An eye for composition is something that leaves you if you don't use it.
A very busy bank holiday weekend
Went back home to take my mum and aunt out for lunch to celebrate their very-much-deserved retirement. Nearly melted in our hotel room. Went to a beach, a car show, and had some ice cream.
Malayalam, Eastbourne
It's not often that a restaurant is so good that I'll make a specific post about it but there y'go.
Pizza Sunday
Another Pizza Sunday. Told you I'd stop counting. These were the best ones I've made so far.
I made pizza, take three
I made pizza again. This time a cold ferment in the fridge over the course of three days. What a massive improvement to the quality of the dough. Probably not going to number every post. At least not when I can actually reliably succeed at this!
I made pizza, take two
I had another go at making some pizza. Tried a different dough recipe and it seemed to make a huge difference. I also watched a tonne of videos on how to make and stretch dough. It is possible to learn things just by watching...?
I made pizza
I am a horrible cook. Just awful. But we have been watching the Chef's Table Pizza show on Netflix and it made me want to try and make pizza. It appears more successful the further back you stand.
The lost art of the tactical, permissive skive
It's important, every now and again, to treat yourself to a bit of naughtiness. A cheeky little Friday PM skive when you've already finished your todo list and some of next week's, and you've let everyone know you're stepping out. Beautiful.
Pick & Cheese
We saw about this place on Jolly, and I've wanted to take Charlotte there ever since.
Carbohydrates
Carbs are my favourite; did you know? This isn't only going to be pictures of food, and it's over the course of a month so give me a break (it's still not good 🤫 I know).
What I'm saying is it's another photo dump post.
Tabitha is Ten
We've been parents for a decade. It's surreal to think about how much has changed in that time. How much a person changes from 0-10, and 27-37; and how much stays the same.
Saturday in Eastbourne
We went for a little walk around Eastbourne. I like it there. There's a weird number of Greek restaurants in very close proximity. They slice their halloumi laterally like I like it.
Some photos
Just because I'm not taking good photos, doesn't mean I'm not taking photos. I just save them up and drop them all at once so the inferior quality seems less obvious.
Misc
I've been so busy with work since I got back from Nashville, and the weather sucked too much to go out taking pictures most days. Still I got a few snaps, even if they're pretty crummy, most of them.
Pigs in Blankets Pizza
Last year I said I wanted to try every vegetarian/vegan pigs-in-blankets. This year they're all out of stock. Coincidence?
Anniversary Burgers!
For our 14 year wedding anniversary (which is traditionally ivory and, therefore, extremely difficult to gift), Charlotte got me ArcTanGent tickets and made me heart-shaped burgers.
