I helped a friend move house yesterday. It was a lot. Was looking forward to a relaxing day today, that didn't really end up being.

I rented a van to help with the move and after one journey the battery died and the damn thing wouldn't start. We'd already been warned that we couldn't park where we were by a very generous parking warden, and I didn't want to get a ticket so I sat and waited in the van for two hours for the breakdown service to come and jumpstart the van in about 7 seconds. I was grumpy.

The battery was so flat that all the electronics had gone weird and it was registering no fuel (despite the fact that I definitely fuelled it) so we drove 45 miles to return the van on "zero" fuel. The breakdown guy said it was fine to refuel it with the engine running, but there is no way I will ever refuel a vehicle with a running engine. Against my better judgment we stopped the engine, put a small amount of fuel in (which didn't register!) then carrier on driving. One of the most unpleasant journeys of my life.

We did have a lovely meal and evening chatting though. Definitely a fun day, but the type of fun that is fun in retrospect!

So my Dry January got a little damp and I ended up leaving the car and returning to collect it the following morning. Lovely sunrise walk so not mad at all.

I went to grab a record I'd ordered from Resident, and Charlotte had a tattoo consultation and wanted a knitting magazine (don't ask), and we went to Yeastie Boys for some lunch again. Then we went for another walk, I flew the drone a bit, and then we watched Laputa but I napped through most of it!

Solid Saturday. Enjoyed taking photos today; I've fallen out of the habit and not been happy about that.
