Bit of an eclectic weekend. Norman castle, village fete (the kind you're not really welcome at if no-one recognises you), raft race, cheese on toast, pizza.
It's ArcTanGent this week. I forgot to look forward to it because I was so focussed on Spa, and I'm not super excited about it but I know it's going to be great when I get there. Except it's going to rain.
I would love it if something I made was still standing ~1000 years later.
I love this art deco/brutalist organ in the adjoining church (also nearly 1000 years old. The church, not the organ)
The raft race was a little underwhelming. What I can only assume was a team of engineers built a paddle steamer-style paddle wheel and that's all she wrote. Still amusing to watch but the race itself was a bit of a non-event.

This doesn't really work but this seagull having a bath was making nice ripples in the water.
I woke up wanting some cheese on toast. I accidentally found the right settings for melty cheese on our oven. Very happy, and completely necessary when it's a pizza day.
Worcestershire sauce is not suitable for vegetarians so I blobbed some of this on and it worked so well. I love this sauce it's so good.
I cannot get consistent dough at the moment but they do at least taste good. We walked into town to get some ricotta and basil (and work off my breakfast 🤫) as we've been making a ricotta and pesto base instead of tomato and it's my favourite way to do pizza now.
