Takedown Twenty Twelve

What I saw of Takedown was amazing. Unfortunately, there was some crazy over-zealous security going on. The dude from Feed the Rhino (who are beasts and their singer and body guard(!!!) are super nice blokes) came pretty close to getting in a proper fight with one of the bouncers. Kinda put a downer on the event a bit. Crowd surfing is pretty dangerous, but it's nowhere near as bad as circle pits and wall of death so I'm not really sure why people make such a huge deal out of it.

Still, not to detract from a great day. Standout bands were Feed the Rhino, Fei Comodo, Evarose, Bleed from Within and Bury Tomorrow. Hopefully Takedown will be back next year at a different venue, or some more relaxed security rules.
