As I'm sure I mentioned, I soloed ArcTanGent last year. I enjoyed myself but in places I was quite bored and lonely. This year I'm planning to learn from my mistakes.

Fortunately, I keep quite a lot of ebooks on my phone, so I ended up reading a book during my downtime last year, but I was very envious of people who were playing games on their phones so this year I'll be bringing my RG351M as well as a book.

Tabitha got me this nice sling for my birthday and I've put my Peak Design Capture on it so I can carry my camera without taking up space. Then I've got my wallet, phone, earplugs, and I'm sure I'll find a couple of other things. I guess I should put headphones in there but I like to be able to hear what's going on when I'm on my own so I'm not sure they'll get used.

Last year I was pretty certain I'd end up bumping into people I knew and hanging with them, but that did not happen at all so this year I've got better backup plans. This probably means I'll run into loads of people I know 🤷‍♂️
