A week and four days early, Charlotte decided that it was time to have our little girl. Naturally, instead of helping, I stood around taking photos of everything. It was an exciting, terrifying experience and Charlotte did an incredible job. In the space of twenty-four hours, she had things prodded into her and pulled out of her that I can't imagine I'd ever have the fortitude to deal with. The staff at the Princess Anne hospital in Southampton have been absolutely phenomenal; unwaveringly encouraging and patient. They're immensely under-staffed and over-worked, but they do a wonderful job.
