I like the idea of baby-led everything when it comes to child development. The notion that a jaded adult, who can barely manage their own desires, would be capable of deciding when a baby should or shouldn't start doing things is absurd.

We have decided (with the help of recommendations) that Tabitha can start replacing the toys that she puts in her mouth with food. She consistently fails the banana test, because I think she lacks dexterity to hold a slippery banana, but she enjoyed chewing on mange-tout. It's a lot of fun watching her taste things for the first time, and I loved the photos (even though my big dumb hand-shadow is in a load of them).
