Rudeness

I hate rudeness. I hate impatience. Unfortunately, when you work for a busy agency, you encounter rudeness and impatience on a daily basis. The most difficult part of my job is maintaining composure. I am not terribly good at it–my natural instinct is to call people on their bullshit–but I’m getting better.

I’ve realised that the best way to effectively combat rudeness and impatience is with politeness. It’s very difficult to be rude to someone for a sustained period if they’re being polite to you. If you don’t eventually start to feel like an asshole, people in your vicinity tend to jab you in the ribs to let you know. I’ve been on that side of it too!
