The X-Pro1 does different crops straight off the camera. It adjusts the frame lines and the live preview as well. I'm pretty pleased about that.

It only crops the JPG, though, so the RAW will still be the original aspect ratio. I wonder what the 3:2 version of a photo framed for 1:1 looks like. If Apple ever adds X-Pro1 support to Digital Camera RAW, I might get to find out. Adobe already added support, so I might have to switch to Lightroom if Apple doesn't take their focus off releasing crippled mobile operating systems for a few days to do this.
