Leipzig 2023

Spent a lovely long weekend in Germany visiting Sven, Nadine and their two boys. Very happy and surprised to have had snow; I love taking pictures in the snow.

Lots of video games, carbs, chats, lamenting my persistent inability to speak German. The usual.

I learned that it is difficult to play co-op games with a five-year-old who speaks a different language, but ultimately very satisfying when you're successful. If you're looking to add a bit of a challenge to Super Mario Wonder, I would recommend this.

I wanted to visit a German Christmas market and I learned that this is something we've ripped off pretty well, to the point that you couldn't really tell it was Germany. Of course, I don't know how much of what we ripped off has influenced and diluted the original in turn so it might be that. Didn't get any pictures here but did have Lángos, tree cake, and heartburn somehow.

And I hate German trains.
