Fuji X100VI

I had an X100-series camera ages ago, but a can of Dr Pepper exploded in my bag and killed it. I wasn't going to replace it, but I've been increasingly wanting something that can take decent pictures but doesn't require me to bring a bag with me, so decided to go for it. It's pretty great so far - I'm not using the film emulation stuff too much as the custom ones get lost on import to Lightroom and I can't won't just use JPEG. I've been very happy with how responsive it is, how the images look, and just how convenient it is.

The only thing I'm struggling with is shooting F-Log video. I can't seem to figure out how to do it. Everything appears to come with a film simulation baked in. From YouTube videos, other people's cameras just do it, so there's obviously something I'm missing. I'll figure it out.

I've also done something I've been intrigued to do for a while, and that is to put a cage on it. It's worth it for the grip alone but it's also useful to just have mounting stuff there. I don't always need things like that but when I do I'm glad it's there. I've put a thumb grip and a soft shutter button on there, too. Just makes it feel a lot more comfortable to hold in the hand.

The old X100 in rice. It didn't work. Almost exactly 10 years before I got the new one. Not even intentional.

Smallrig retro cage with Gorilla tape over the logo. I hate that companies put their ugly logos front-and-centre on things like this.
