Wheel

I love racing games but I don't have the space, or the money for a proper setup. So, we make do.

I had a desk-mounted wheel previously, but apparently I pull on the steering wheel when I drive and I kept pulling it off, or pulling the desk surface off. Not ideal.

Before I got a printer, I wanted one of these rack and pinion steering adapters so badly. Then I got a printer and promptly forgot it existed until this weekend. I needed to harvest a couple of bearings from Tabitha's old rollerskates, and I ideally need something better than a paperclip for a couple of the rods because they don't glue in well enough. They'll do for now and it's a super quick print.

It works pretty well in Gran Turismo, but I did break it just before the finish line. Doesn't work at all in art of rally or Forza Horizon 4. I couldn't get the sensitivity settings right, which is a bit annoying. Still cool though, and gives me an excuse to play more Gran Turismo, which I do not like playing with a pad.
