Aforementioned bicycle. I want to thank David Perkins of Deaf Pigeon and the internet for twisting my arm into purchasing a fixie. I may now be a shameless poser, destined to wear white vests and bobble hats and be hated by everyone, but this is the nicest bike I have ever ridden. So smooth (even on Southampton roads) and comfortable, you wouldn't believe. It also makes you quite aware (quite quickly) of how little control you have over a bike when you're freewheeling. It just feels right pedalling all the time; controlling the speed of the bike manually, constantly.

I've just noticed that it seems customary to take photos of your bike facing the other way. Poke it, I'm a trailblazer.
