Pocket Dump
05/24/2014
I spent some time refining my pocket carry the last few weeks. I've been using the torch on my phone a tonne, and it drains the battery quite dramatically, so I was looking to replace it. The Surefire P2X is overkill for my needs in the summer, but in the winter I think it's going to be very useful on early morning dog walks. Also, I like to buy the best when I buy things and almost everything I read said "only get this if you don't have the money for a Surefire".
After watching a great review on the Leatherman Skeletool CX on It's a Wonderful Knife (Simpsons reference and great presentation technique equals trust), it was pretty much done as the multitool for me. I originally wanted the MUT EOD but I don't need half of the stuff on there. All I want is a blade, bottle opener, screwdriver and pliers for reattaching the chain on my Dosnoventa and this covers that to a high standard. Plus it's light and comes with a great little pouch that adds space for my Kent folder, Sharpie and Fisher Space Pen.
As for everything else, in no particular order: Anker Astro Mini, Couch wallet (great if you shirk leather), squared pocket Moleskine, iPhone 5S and keys on a carabiner to attach to a belt loop.
