50mm 1.4

I set my heart on a Nikkor 85mm ƒ1.4 AF-S G. There is nowhere to try this lens in Southampton. After deliberation, I mysteriously ended up with a 50mm ƒ1.4. It's a nice lens, but I don't think it's substantially nicer than the 1.8 to warrant adding it to my bag. I'll be returning it today and grabbing the 85mm from Amazon on something. If, for whatever reason, I don't like it; those guys have a pretty decent returns process. Ideally I'd try it first, but there's enough well-respected praise of it for me to take the plunge, I suppose.
