I hate, HATE cheap jewellery. You can spot it a mile off.

Charlotte and I decided way before I was made redundant that we would buy second hand wedding rings. I tried to think of a romantic metaphor for this, but the truth is that second-hand jewellery is an absolute steal. It's ridiculous how much this depreciates, really! I managed to get my lovely 18ct gold and platinum (hallmarked, awaiting valuation - y'know, out of curiosity!) band for an absolute bargain, when you consider the cost of platinum. I have to say that it's one of the most amazing rings I've ever seen. It's exactly what I wanted, and I didn't even know I wanted it. Congratulations to pro-eBayer Charlotte for the find.

Oh, did I mention that it's a half size too small? I'm fairly sure I did, yes.
