133 111008 - Dermal punch

I finally bit the bullet. Hard. Lying down on the piercer's bench thing, I've never been so excited and scared at the same time. You could have freebased my blood for good times.

I really wanted this to be done at 10mm, but I was talked out of it as it probably wouldn't have fit. So, I now have a lovely 8mm hole in my conch and it's the most awesome piercing ever. I've had it for 5 days and it's been so well behaved so far. The guys at Kalima (in particular, Quentin who did the punch) were excellent - I felt totally relaxed, seriously felt much less pain than I thought I was going to and am really impressed with their approach to aftercare. I got a little baggy of cleaning things, including cotton buds, cleaning instructions, cotton wool balls, rock salt and some tincture (I'd never heard this word before - I thought they made it up!).

Anyone who wants an oversized hole in their body (careful), I really recommend dermal punches over stretching, which just did not work for me.
