I'm going to be honest here I don't think I really know what this is trying to say, but I was glued to it the entire time.

I don't think I get the Austrian/Nazi invasion setting for this film. It's so selectively referenced that I think you could lose 30 minutes of this already exceptionally long film and just make it about a father discovering his love for his children.
I love all the music, though.

It takes everything the original set up, builds on it and exceeds it in every way. I could talk about this film for hours but I won't. I absolutely love it.
