Jade

I didn't like Jade Goody. I normally hate all the "oh god, they were such a great person" hypocrisy you get when someone dies. Especially when someone was so widely disliked, and she was! I guess we're quite a fickle society in that way.

However, I can't help but admire her actions in the weeks leading up to her death. Maximizing on her visibility to the press so that she can provide for her children as much as possible before she dies is totally admirable to me, in a world where people couldn't seem to give a shit about raising their children and providing for them, it's nice that she forewent her privacy during such a difficult time for her kids.

For what it's worth, Jade, I salute you!
