Children's Books: Preface

I read a lot of children's books so, naturally, I read a lot of garbage children's books. Contrary to popular belief, you can judge children's books pretty well by their cover. There are some truly beautifully-illustrated children's books, and some absolutely godawful ones. The story is usually about friends or helping people or not smashing your toys. It's not deep stuff.

For, really, no reason at all, I've decided that I'm going to write a short amount about the children's books that I read and enjoy with Tabitha. It's not going to be a lot, because I'd really run the risk of writing more words about a book than the book itself contains. Just a short amount of text and a picture of the cover. Any children's book you see here is, at least, worth checking out from your local library.
